15 . Bangkok 02 – Technique no.1: boxes in voids

Some examples of nice composition of ac condensers and façade elements I found during my last trip to Bangkok (Dec 2009). Everything will look good, or at least interesting, as long as there is enough repetition of it. Our blog, acfacade.blogspot.com, will attempt to analyse & catalogue all techniques commonly used for intended placement of ac condensers on building façade. Hopefully, at the end of the day, we will be able to decipher something cool out of our substantial catalogue of techniques.

14 . Bandung 01 – Simpsons

The feeling of this one looking like a face, Homer Simpson to be specific, mast have come across the mind of whoever putting those condensers there either before or after it is done.

13 . Seoul 04 - A/C Mask

The Korean show how people and hot air can share the same space. The look of these masks could possibly inspire Michael Bay to come up with a new blockbuster hit on A/C condensers that transform into robots.

12 . Perfect Blend

The installation of condensers on this building blends in really well with the screen on the façade. It is hard to tell whether the condensers took advantage of the horizontal elements of the screen as their supports or the screen was designed for housing and concealing condensers.

11 . Seoul 03 - Spaghetti Incident

Exposed A/C pipes on building façade are common in Korea. Convenience and necessity take over aesthetics when it comes to connecting an A/C unit to its condenser. Pipes are twisted, turned and tangled as much as needed. Some apartments on the top floor even put condensers up on the rooftop.
