Shophouses encrusted with condensors on amoy street. These are old shophouses that have been converted into offices, and hence due to the adaptation of program they have become the architectural equilavents of cyborgs.

Welcome to AC Facade. This will be a photoblog and discussion about the phenomenon of air con condensor facades on buildings. Our interest in AC facades started from a casual smoke we were having at the rear outdoor deck of a shophouse office. Noticing the numerous aircon condensor units hanging off the walls of shophouses in Singapore, we have decide to document instances of AC Facades internationally.
